Corrections are genuinely wanted here, and the useful ones look a particular way. If a page follows one version of a myth and you know a text that says otherwise, quoting the work — book, chapter, hymn or tablet — means the correction can be checked against an edition and made the same day. A message saying that a page is wrong, without a source, cannot be acted on, because the alternative is guessing which of us misremembered.

Four other things are worth writing about.

• A figure who is missing. The site is being written tradition by tradition and there are real gaps. Naming who you were looking for, and which spelling you searched, is directly useful — half the failed searches on a mythology site are transliteration problems rather than absences.
• A translation or edition worth using. Recommendations for standard editions, especially for the Mesopotamian and Celtic material where the good editions are not the ones that come up first, are read with attention.
• Permissions and reuse. Quoting a paragraph with a link needs no permission. Anything larger, or any classroom or publishing use, is usually fine but should be asked about first.
• The classical art plates. Every image used here is public-domain work credited to its artist, find-site or holding collection. If an attribution is wrong or incomplete, that is a correction worth sending.
